ON OFFENCE, ON DEFENCE, IN HOW you train and carry yourself.
If you’re not relentless, you don’t belong here.
WHO CAN ATTEND ?
-Anyone who wants to join Free Flow Basketball teams for the Summer Season (Term 4 & Term 1) and be part of our culture of relentlessness. This is for players who are serious and competitive, and looking to play and develop at a high level.
-We UNDERSTAND this culture is not for everyone — but if this is you, or you’re willing to embrace this, then we want you to join us
AGE GROUPS
-U/10. U/12. U14. U/16. U/18. BOTH boys & girls
SELECTION PROCESS
WE WILL SELECT PLAYERS ACCORDING TO:
Training commitment
attitudE
SKILL & athleticism
We aim to group players who can train together, especially for higher-grade teams. Exceptions may be made for position/roster needs if the player can train with another team in the program. All teams learn the same systems. Training availability is collected in the tryout registration form.
Coaches will also be available after each session to give in-person feedback and discuss their assessment with players who would like it.
Who We’re Looking For & Before You Register
We’re looking for players who are serious and competitive, have a growth mindset and want to develop at a high level. Bring a strong work ethic, be a great teammate, and fit into our culture of relentlessness.
Our Standard: Relentless — If you’re not relentless, you don’t belong here. Effort is the entry ticket and the minimum requirement to represent Free Flow.
By embracing our values and our culture, you won’t just become a better player — you’ll become a better person. Culture is everything, and we protect it at all costs.
We know this culture is not for everyone — but if this is you, or you’re willing to embrace this, then we want you to join us.
We have a commitment requirement because we want real teams — teams who train together, live and breathe the same offensive and defensive philosophy, AND share the same mindset every time they step on the court. We’re not here to throw players together for games.
These requirements apply to all programs, except our Academy Development program. In Academy Development there are no commitment requirements. It’s our starting point in the player pathway, where newer players are introduced to the game and slowly exposed to our culture and values as they get older.

Player Pathway (summary)
Academy Development → Academy → Elite Development → Elite
Academy Development — The introductory phase. Focuses on building fundamental skills and understanding of basketball in a structured environment (without commitment requirements), with the aim of transitioning into Academy or higher programs over time.
Academy — Competitive training & games; serious about improvement and development. Players here are still highly competitive and committed to development, but may not yet be as advanced as Elite athletes. They share the same attitude and work ethic, and just need more time in the program before progressing into Elite Development or Elite. Some opportunities for higher level academy players to represent Free Flow in AAU.
Elite Development — Close to Elite; trains/competes toward the highest level. Players may not perform at the same level as Elite yet, but are very close and need refinement. Elite Development athletes are second priority for AAU team selection.
Elite — High-level athletes aiming for the top with sacrifice, standards, accountability. Elite athletes are first priority for AAU team selection
